Ashford Hospital Broadcasting Service
I produce and co-present the Thursday Request show with John Tavare for AHBS at the William Harvey Hopstial in Ashford, which is due to become a community radio in 2011. We collect requests during our ward visits, as well as taking requests via the phone. Join in with our Word Of The Day (on the home page), can you think of a song that his our word in the title? We also test your musical knowledge with our competition Reverse Intro, we play the first 20 seconds of a song and you have to guess what it is, the twist is that we've reversed so it plays backwards.
Gateway Hospital Broadcasting Service
I joined the local hospital radio service in Dover, the Gateway Hospital Broadcasting Service, in October 2004. I started on Wednesday evenings under the watchful eye of Janett Pott, and was soon learning the art of radio production. In January 2006 I took over production of the Friday evening show where I remained until the service closed on the 22nd December of the same year.
